We are looking for a few good men and women to help us make the Scottsdale Jazz Festival the best it can be! Volunteers must be able to stand for a few hours at a time and be reliable, but the perks outweigh the temporary discomfort including a free custom t-shirt, a general admission ticket for a friend, food and beverage tickets, and you get to see some of the very best regional and international jazz musicians for FREE!

Best of all, you get to be part of a really fun event.

PLEASE JOIN US!

WHO CAN BE A VOLUNTEER?

Anyone 16 years of age or older with a neat appearance and good communication skills.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Each applicant must register by clicking the button above. If an event is full or canceled, the volunteer coordinator will let you know.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
You must be willing to have fun! Volunteer ushers are expected to understand the seating arrangements, wear the appropriate attire, be able to take patrons to their (reserved) seats, stand and climb steps, understand event information, be able to direct people to the restrooms, food trucks, vendors, and help unbox and prepare programs. Qualified ushers will take or scan tickets and direct patrons.

It is important that you show up by your call time, which is generally 60 minutes before the shift start time. Each volunteer should be capable of standing for long periods of time. We ask that ushers not use their cell phones during their shift unless it is for an emergency.

WHAT WILL VOLUNTEERS BE DOING?

We need volunteers to scan tickets at the festival entrances and seat our guests once inside the festival site. General crowd control is the primary responsibility of our volunteers

DRESS CODE:
We will provide you with a 2022 Scottsdale Jazz Festival custom t-shirt. We will contact you in advance for your size. Comfortable shoes are a must. Depending on the weather, knee length shorts or dress pants are acceptable. We ask that you do not wear jeans.

For volunteers working the later shift, please bring your own flashlight. As people exit the festival site, flashlights will be helpful to help prevent tripping and falling.

WHERE DO VOLUNTEERS PARK?
Free parking will be available for our volunteer ushers adjacent to the festival site. We will provide more info as we get closer to the event.
